ADULTS ONLY

Small, compact, little, (enough descriptions for you) site BUT a peaceful site, totally surrounded by trees and Farm buildings and stables. BUT not far from a Pub

NO CHILDREN

Water and grey waste disposal ( no chemical disposal) are by the farmhouse door.

There is no toilet on site but there is a public one across the road which is open 24 hours for the boat users and is kept very clean.

There is a pub (surprise ! ) next to that which has showers and toilets for the boating fraternity to use which can be used by ‘vanners also.

Now for the fishing ALL FREE!!!!!!

The dyke at Thurne can only be fished by people staying at the CL (a very nice surprise) or on a boat.

Otherwise there is a 400 yard !!!walk to the main river, in the day time the dyke fishes very well with fish up to 5 or 6 pounds, including Tench and Carp.

After the boats stop ( hire boats on the Broads do not have lights so have to moor up by sunset) the main river comes alive.

Our best this time was a Bream at 6 ¾lb a Skimmer at 2lb (which thought it was going to fight) with good bags of Roach and Perch. We found quite a few fish with pike bite marks and of course had quite a few eels though not as many as the year before

Whilst we were there (July 2000) a few miles away two anglers caught 600lb (Yes) of Bream in one session.
